I get one of those subscription boxes every month with a bunch of different make up and other various beauty product samples… I decided to try one of the samples today. It is some sort of “nourishing masque”. Cool. So I start applying it and the first thing I thought was holy crap this is heavily scented… I have fairly sensitive skin so I wasn’t sure putting something that was that heavily perfumed on my face with a great idea but what the heck… I had already started, we may as well ride this train to the end of the tracks. As I’m applying it I was really struck by how odd the texture was… most masks tend to be kind of a clay feeling or a thin peel of some sort. This was very creamy and rich and didn’t seem to change texture once you applied it… I flip the back over quickly and it said leave on for 10 minutes… Fine. I continue to apply it and I cannot get over how strong it smells, and how strange the texture is… And what the hell is it nourishing anyway? So I flip the bottle over again just to read more about what nourishment my face was receiving… And realize that I, in my skimming the label, missed the part where it said HAIR. So my face doesn’t look any better, but my mustache is silky smooth. It isn’t easy being Heather… Have I mentioned that yet today?
